How long do I leave it on before peeling?
How long does the colour last?
Peel-off stains typically hold for most of a day and fade gradually rather than wearing off in patches.
Will it come off when I eat, drink or kiss?
No, once it's peeled, what's left is a stain in the lip rather than a layer on top, so it doesn't transfer onto cups, food or anyone else. That's why it's the workday, school-day, all-day option.
How do I take it off?
It fades naturally over the day. If you want it gone sooner, massage an oil-based remover or balm into the lips (I'm So Jelly works), leave it a minute, then wipe. A gentle lip scrub lifts the last of it. Micellar water alone won't shift a stain.
Is it drying?
The formula has glycerin, hyaluronic acid and olive oil esters to counter the tightness peel-off tints can leave. Most people are fine; if your lips run dry, pop a balm or lip oil over the top once it's peeled, it won't disturb the colour.
Can I wear it under lipstick or gloss?
Yes. It's a stain, so anything layered on top sits normally and when the top layer wears off you're left with colour rather than bare lips. Gloss over it is the intended everyday finish.
Can I build it up?
Yes, apply a thicker layer or leave it on longer for a stronger stain, or do a second application once the first is peeled. Start light; it's easier to add than to remove.
Will it stain the skin around my lips or my teeth?
It stains where you put it, so apply carefully to the lip line. If you overshoot, wipe the edge with a damp cotton bud before it dries. It doesn't stain teeth.
Is it OK for sensitive lips? What if my lips are cracked?
It's fragrance-free and flavour-free, nothing in the formula but water, the peel film, humectants and two colourants. Don't use it on split, cracked or cold-sore-affected lips; peeling a film off broken skin isn't kind, and you'll get an uneven stain anyway.
