So babe, let’s get into it and learn how to use the P Louise base!
Priming The Lid
When thinking about how to use the P Louise base, the first thing that comes into your head will probably be priming the eyelid. With our opaque base, you can conceal all your problems. Our base ultimately determines how your shadows turn out, as it blurs skin texture, creates a crease proof finish and helps any shadows to perform. It maximises shadow payoff to make any eyeshadow 10x more pigmented. Pretty amazing right?
How to use the P Louise base for priming the lid all depends on the look you want to achieve, as you can customise the coverage. If you want a more sheer look, take the base with a fluffy brush and gently buff the base across the lid. For the P Louise look, take a #7071 flat brush and pad a pat pat pat to perfection, building up thin layers to create a flawless and opaque finish.
The base is designed to remain tacky, because as soon as you place the shadows on top of the base, they will grasp to the base and magnify the colour. When it comes to choosing your base shade, go for a base that is one to two shades lighter than your skin tone.
Knowing how to use the P Louise couldn’t be easier when it comes to priming the lid and it suits any skin type. Texture isn’t a problem here babe, as it smooths out the skin surface, removes any unwanted hairs and it covers all skin pigmentation. When you know how to use the P Louise base to prime the eye, your entire process is simplified and intensified, giving flawless results.
Carve The Brow
Next up in our guide on how to use the P Louise base is carving the brow! Using a #7071 flat brush, take our base in a shade or two lighter than your skin tone and use the side of the bristles on the brush to carve out the brow to your desired shape. You can remove any unwanted brow hairs, pigmentation or texture, all whilst carving out your dream brow. It is super simple to do this at the same time as priming the lid!
In The Waterline
Another way to use our base is in the waterline! Take an angled liner brush with a paint of your choice (Badda Black Base is amazing for this) and work the paint into the waterline for a smoky effect. The best thing about our bases unlike normal waterline products is that they don’t smudge. Even if you need to shed a tear or two, our bases are tear proof and remain vibrant until you remove them! This method is overlooked when it comes to how to use the P Louise base, but trust us babe, we’ve got you covered when it comes to the waterline.
For a smoky and sultry liner, it doesn’t get much better than when you use our base. Learning how to use the P Louise base as eyeliner couldn’t be easier, as all you need is some patience and a killer set of brushes.
Buff a small amount of your chosen base along the lash line to create a smoky liner effect. Keepin’ It Khaki is a great shade for this! Take your time here, creating layers and gradually blending for a dreamy ombre look. Switch up your pressure as you go, with more pressure the closer you are to the lash line and gradually less as you blend up. You will get flawless results with the right technique!
As Cream Contour
Next up in our guide on how to use the P Louise base is cream contour! Choose two bases, one two shades lighter than your skin tone and one two shades darker. Take a small amount of the base that is two shades darker with a flat brush and create lines around the very top of the forehead, just underneath your cheekbones, on the jaw line and down either side of the nose, keeping it as near to the bridge as possible. Use a sponge to blend all of this out really well!
Then take the shade that is two shades lighter under each eye, in the middle of the forehead, down the middle of the nose and on the chin. Using a clean sponge, blend all of this out. Trust us when we say that this base won’t budge until you remove it babe! You can easily build intensity with the bases, keeping it natural or going ultra glam. See, bet you never thought about cream contour when considering how to use the P Louise base!
Last but not least, you can use the P Louise base as blush. Our pink hued coloured bases can be used as such a creamy blush, particularly Winter Rose, Cute in Coral, Pretentious Peach and Pretty in Pink. Take our #638 angled face brush and blend the base from the apple of your cheeks up onto the upper cheek bone.
